Machine Learning Approaches to Set Up an AI-Based Robotic Manufacturing Control System
Arnie Kravitz, Chief Technology Officer
Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM)
Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) is the nation’s leading collaborative in robotics technology and workforce innovation. Structured as a public-private partnership, ARM works with over 230 organizations nationwide to accelerate the advancement of transformative robotic technologies and relevant education opportunities to increase U.S. global manufacturing competitiveness. Led by ARM, this National Collaborative is developing a database of robotic manufacturing processes and key performance parameters (KPPs). The intent is to inform a quality control system, which can benefit from machine learning, to produce more consistent products as defined by the KPPs and an ethereal definition of goodness. ARM’s CTO, Arnie Kravitz, will present insights gleaned from this database, and share an approach to setting up an AI-based robotic control system to manufacture products to meet the KPPs and desirable attributes and features.
