Abstract

Operationalizing AI: Make Your Data Work For You

In 2022, the manufacturing industry is facing a diverse set of challenges, including aging and failing assets, net-zero initiatives, emerging cyberthreats, an aging workforce and consequential skill gaps, and data overload. Not to mention evolving consumer needs, health and economic crises, and other seismic changes over the past two decades that have brought uncertainty.

Manufacturers need an edge when addressing these challenges; traditional methods just can’t keep up anymore. Solutions built on artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP) enable you to quickly sort through structured and unstructured–including maintenance logs, HSE reports, and CCTV video and images–and flag operational inefficiencies, impending asset failures, and opportunities for increased throughput. Ultimately, this allows you to cut operational costs, accelerate production, improve worker safety, and decrease environmental impact.

These are very real and valuable priorities for manufacturers, but for many companies, adopting AI initiatives can be a challenge itself. In this session, attendees will learn:

  1. The critical challenges manufacturers face today

  2. How AI, ML, computer vision, NLP, and other emerging technologies are well-suited to solve these challenges

  3. Proven examples of ROI that can be achieved when applying AI solutions

  4. How to get started on building your AI initiative
